Getting started
BenAsk is your family-first benefits concierge. Upload employer benefits packets, bills, and EOBs; compare real plan math; ask what is covered in plain English; and get guided help preparing medical, dental, vision, pharmacy, and FSA/HRA claims—without juggling carrier portals as your second job.
Create a free account, invite your household if you want a shared workspace, then upload this year's benefits packet (SPD, SBC, or enrollment guide). Most families can run a first coverage check and plan compare in a few minutes.
U.S. employees and households on employer-sponsored benefits—from open enrollment novices to people reconciling mid-year bills. You must be 18+ and located in the 50 U.S. states or D.C. (see Terms).
What you get
Four jobs in one place: (1) turn benefits PDFs into structured coverage you can query, (2) compare total annual cost with real deductible math, (3) catch bill/EOB mismatches against your plan so you do not overpay, and (4) guide claim packets so reimbursements do not stall. Carriers still decide claims; we keep you organized and informed.
Bill checkers stop at overcharges. BenAsk also helps you pick the right plan before money is spent, stay context-locked to the plans you actually enrolled in, and manage medical + dental + vision + pharmacy + spending accounts year-round—not only after a surprise invoice.
No. Estimated savings and discrepancy flags are informational for your review—not a refund promise. You should verify figures against the original bill, EOB, and plan documents before disputing or paying.
What's supported
BenAsk works from the documents your employer already publishes—any U.S. employer-sponsored medical, dental, vision, pharmacy, and spending-account materials you upload. We do not require a carrier login and we are not limited to a short list of insurers.
Benefits packets (SPD/SBC/enrollment guides), EOBs, medical/dental/vision bills, superbills, receipts, and claim-related PDFs or photos. Supported types include PDF, JPG, and PNG.
Yes. Use your phone's browser or camera capture where the product offers photo upload, then continue on desktop if you prefer—the household workspace stays in sync after you sign in.
Guided flows cover medical, dental, vision, pharmacy (Rx), and FSA/HRA reimbursement packets. BenAsk helps prepare and track what you submit; your carrier or administrator remains the source of truth for payment.
Year-round. Use BenAsk for open enrollment decisions, life events (with 30-day QLE deadline reminders), surprise bills, and ongoing "what's covered?" questions.
Coverage, bills & claims
We extract line items and patient responsibility, match them to the coverage you have marked active, and flag issues such as deductible math that does not add up, duplicate-looking charges, or amounts that do not match what your plan materials say you should owe—so you can review before you pay.
No. We prepare packets, explain coverage, and keep you oriented. You (or your provider) submit claims, and carriers make final determinations.
No—that is a defect, not a feature. Answers are context-locked to the plans and documents in your workspace. Always verify material facts against your SPD/SBC and carrier portal.
Privacy & security
No. We do not monetize PHI or sell your health information to advertisers. Marketing pages use synthetic previews. See the Privacy Policy for categories, AI subprocessors, and your rights.
BenAsk does not require your insurer username/password to understand coverage from employer documents you upload. We never ask you to hand us carrier credentials as a condition of using the core product.
Yes. Use Dashboard → Settings → Your data to export or schedule deletion. Details and retention windows are in the Privacy Policy.
